This is a demonstration version of a so-called extruder. Polyester carpets are grated into small pieces (‘fluff’), fed into the device, and converted into liquid under pressure. This liquid plastic is then used to make new fibres for the production of new carpets.
Dit is een demonstratieversie van een zogenaamde extruder. Polyester tapijten worden tot kleine stukjes (‘pluis’) geraspt, in het apparaat gevoerd en onder druk in vloeistof omgezet. En worden vervolgens gebruikt om nieuwe vezels te maken voor de productie van nieuwe tapijten.
